Walkers
You don't have to
get into your car when staying at Orwell.
There are plenty of doorstep walks.
Either up to Lyth Hill, or footpaths that
join the Shropshire Way. There are plenty
of villages within walking distance that
provide great meals and we can recommend
these to you. At weekends, there is
also the Shropshire Hills Shuttle bus
which can pick you up (by arrangement)
and drop you off on the Stiperstones,
Long Mynd and other hills. You can then
walk home, or cheat and pick up a local
bus which will drop you off at the bottom
of Lyth Bank. A bus service runs
between Lyth Hill and the centre of
Shrewsbury daily.
